The Knit Rite DERO Hole In One Amputee 1Ply Sock minimizes or
eliminates unwanted rotation and vertical movement between the
outer prosthetic socket and silicone suspension liner, gel interface,
silicone insert, and so on by incorporating friction enhancing polymer
strips into the prosthetic sock.
The DERO sock provides an opportunity for silicone suction suspension
in transfemoral AK cases where it may otherwise be contraindicated by
allowing easier donning and volume management capability. The
polymer strips add virtually no thickness and are vertically orientated in
standard AK and BK patterns to allow various ply combinations, while
maintaining the circumferential stretch inherent in the Lightweight
Soft-Sock (CoolMax/Lycra spandex antimicrobial) or A-Plus (Acrylic plus
Lycra spandex) prosthetic sock. Sold each.
